We are currently looking for a Site Engineer to join our team in Limerick.
Responsibilities:
Understand and implement the company's Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) policies.
Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all site personnel are aware of and comply with safety policies and procedures.
Keep up to date with current HSE regulations and ensure access to relevant legislation and guidance as needed.
Develop, review, and implement site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
Lead regular toolbox talks and site safety briefings to communicate key safety messages.
Immediately report any health, safety, or environmental concerns to your line manager.
Work safely and ensure safety precautions are taken, particularly when operating near public roads or water.
Act as the health and safety point of contact in the absence of the Project or Site Manager.
Monitor work activities to ensure quality standards are upheld in accordance with company quality management systems and inspection/test plans.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
4–5 years of experience in a similar site or setting-out engineering role.
Membership of a recognized engineering institution (e.g., ICE or Engineers Ireland) is preferred.
Prior experience in water, wastewater, or utility-based projects is advantageous.
Strong technical understanding of civil engineering methods and site operations.
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and drive quality, safety, and efficiency on-site.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in surveying instruments (e.g., GPS, total stations) and CAD-based systems.
