Due to ongoing growth in our tax group, we are currently seeking to recruit a Tax Manager to join our tax team in our Cork office, with excellent opportunities for career progression. The role focuses on providing high-quality tax consultancy services to our diverse client base.
General Description of Duties:
- Providing tax consultancy and advisory services to clients across a diverse range of industries
- Developing and implementing tax planning strategies for clients.
- Preparing and presenting tax planning reports to clients and other stakeholders.
- Working closely with other departments and professional advisors to provide a comprehensive tax consulting service.
- Conducting tax research and staying updated on changes in tax legislation.
- Training and mentoring junior staff members.
- Reviewing and managing the work of more junior staff members
- Managing tax consultancy projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Identifying opportunities for new business and contributing to the development of business initiatives.
- Assisting in the management of the Cork tax department, including work-in-progress, debtors, billings and fee collection.

Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified CTA tax professional.
- An accounting qualification is preferable but not essential.
- A strong technical knowledge across several tax heads
- At least two years’ experience in the provision of tax consultancy and advisory outputs and services
- A proven track record managing a team of professionals
- Excellent project management skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication ability
- Strong ability to delegate, manage and review the work of the tax team and other departments within the firm.
