Job Title: Technical Sales Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Sales Assistant to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills, dedicated to providing administrative and technical support to our senior technical sales team. This role is essential for streamlining our sales process, ensuring customer inquiries are handled efficiently, and managing the administrative backbone of our sales operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inquiry Management: Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, organizing and distributing them to the appropriate sales team members.
- Sales Administration: Handle all administrative tasks related to the sales cycle, including preparing sales proposals, quotes, and contracts.
- CRM Management: Maintain and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system with accurate customer and sales data.
- Technical Support: Assist the senior technical sales team with preparing technical documents, literature, and presentations. Act as a liaison between the sales team and technical/engineering departments to resolve customer-related issues.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze sales reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights to the sales team and management.
- Order Processing: Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, finance) to process sales orders and ensure timely delivery and invoicing.
- Customer Relations: Assist with post-sales support, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a sales support, sales administration, or administrative role.
- Strong proficiency with Intact IQ Software, CRM software (ZOHO) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Exceptional organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and "can-do" attitude, with the ability to take initiative and solve problems.
- Knowledge of the instrumentation & controls industry is highly desirable.
