To support and assist the Transport Managers by operating all Transport admin duties so that the depot targets are met in such a manner as to provide the best possible service to our customers.
Roles and responsibilities:
- To maintain consultation and communication with all key stakeholders, managers, drivers and customers as well as other relevant department managers and colleagues.
- Distribution of delivery paperwork and control of PDA handhelds
- Creation and collation of departmental statistics
- Resolving driver queries
- Support and liaise with external contractors to ensure country locations are delivered in the most cost-efficient way.
- Maximise fleet utilisation
- Onboarding new drivers
- Support completion of mandatory driver training
- Support on the auditing, monitoring, implementing, and ensuring compliance with all relevant transport legislation including tachograph compliance
- Cost control
- General administrative duties
- Monitoring Bluetree applications
Experience, Skills and Education
Essential:
- A high degree of computer literacy including extensive knowledge of spreadsheets
- Excellent Communication Skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to provide high standards of customer service and operational performance
- 1 to 2 years working in a transport environment
Desirable:
- Experience with MS Excel and MS Word
- Working knowledge of drivers hours/ tachographs/ transport procedures
- Up-to-date legislation for transport
