Role Summary:
As the Wedding & Events Manager, you will be the face and driving force behind our award-winning wedding and events business. You will manage the full sales-to-service journey for weddings, social occasions, and private functions. From the first enquiry to the final farewell, your job is to ensure every detail is flawlessly executed while consistently exceeding guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities:Sales & Client Management
- Manage all incoming wedding and event enquiries through email, phone, and in-person showarounds.
- Build strong relationships with prospective and booked clients; act as their primary point of contact throughout.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver weddings, private parties, and other social events from start to finish.
- Conduct site visits and consultations, showcasing the hotel and converting leads into confirmed bookings.
- Prepare detailed Banqueting Event Orders (BEOs) for internal use and client approval.
- Liaise with all departments to ensure seamless delivery of each event.
Event Coordination
- Lead pre-wedding meetings and final details consultations with clients.
- Be present and act as event point of contact for key weddings and events.
- Monitor timelines, manage schedules, and ensure all event elements are in place on the day.
- Oversee post-event feedback and follow-up communications.
Revenue & Administration
- Achieve monthly and annual wedding & events revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, pipeline, and conversions in CRM and PMS systems.
- Prepare regular reports for management, including forecasting and event profitability.
Collaboration & Innovation
- Work closely with the Marketing team to promote wedding packages, showcases, and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the F&B, Kitchen, Accommodation, and Front Office teams to ensure alignment.
- Contribute to the development of new packages, services, and upsell opportunities.
- Keep up to date with wedding trends and competitor offerings to ensure we remain market-leading.
Candidate Profile:Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar weddings/events management role.
- Strong knowledge of the wedding industry and event planning processes.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of professionalism with a warm, personable manner.
- Confident in hosting showarounds and engaging with clients of all types.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Desirable:
- Experience using hotel systems (e.g., Guestline, Delphi, or similar).
- Familiarity with the Kerry wedding market.
- Experience working in a 4-star+ hospitality environment.
- Passion for creating memorable, heartfelt guest experiences.
