Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
Client Engagement & Sales
- Serve as the main point of contact for all wedding enquiries and bookings.
- Conduct professional wedding showarounds, both pre-booked and walk-in.
- Follow up on leads through telephone, email, and video calls in line with the hotel's sales strategy.
- Prepare and send personalised quotes, contracts, and wedding brochures.
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Maintain strong relationships with past and prospective clients to encourage repeat and referral business.
Event Coordination & Delivery
- Maintain and manage the wedding booking diary for effective scheduling.
- Prepare detailed wedding function sheets and communicate plans to all operational departments.
- Welcome and support couples on the day of their wedding, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
- Book and liaise with external suppliers to deliver on the couple's vision.
- Ensure all event details are accurately captured and updated across systems.
Marketing & Industry Engagement
- Keep up to date with wedding trends, popular bloggers, influencers, and social media trends.
- Manage content and listings on third-party wedding platforms (e.g., WeddingsOnline, One Fab Day).
- Represent the hotel at external wedding fairs, showcases, and other industry events.
- Organise and execute in-house wedding fairs and open days.
Reporting & Administration
- Compile and maintain wedding sales reports, including enquiry volumes, site inspections, and conversion rates.
- Track and report on third-party website performance (e.g., enquiries vs. site visits vs. bookings).
- Assist the Sales Team with other hotel events as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within hospitality or event management.
- Passion for weddings and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings as required.
