Account Manager

Job Description
The main responsibilities for the Account Manager are to drive sales of our medical laboratory services to hospitals, clinics and allied healthcare professionals throughout Ireland. The ideal candidate will be from a Clinical Diagnostic/Medical Science background, will be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers in order to aid customers in their success using our laboratory services. This will be done by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal team members to better understand and mitigate any issues the customers may face. The role will require a real team player with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with our clients to ensure their experience of our service is industry leading. The specific tasks will include Sales Activities, Account Management & Relationships and Administration & Finance.
Some of the other main responsibilities will be:
- Play a leading role in the strategic development of laboratory services and products offered by Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics.
- Grow company sales of our laboratory services and products.
- Play a leading role in the strategic development of the medical pathology services offered by Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics.
- Forge strong relationships with customers through regular site visits/meetings to understand customer needs and further develop the business.
Working Hours: 39 p/w
Qualifications
Education
- A recognised third level qualification in the biological sciences or healthcare or related discipline.
OR
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a related role
Experience
- At least 3 years in direct sales and/or key account management ideally in a health services or related industry.
- Proven ability to respond successfully to commercial tenders.
- Previous experience of working in a medical laboratory would be a distinct advantage.
Required licences / certifications or membership
- Full Clean Valid Driving Licence

- A need to demonstrate exceptional business planning and key account management, excellent relationship building qualities and the competence to work autonomously.
- Total commitment to client satisfaction.

- Ability to successfully negotiate with laboratory heads, procurement managers and hospital consultants.
