Hiring Administrator - Beneavin House, Finglas Dublin D11.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrator to join our nursing home team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall administration, efficient operation, and regulatory compliance of the nursing home, ensuring a high standard of care and service for residents and their families
Key Responsibilities.
Oversee and direct the daily operations of the nursing home, ensuring smooth and effective functioning of all departments.
Manage administrative duties including filing paperwork, assisting with budgeting and financial management, and supporting recruitment activities.
Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date information on the nursing administration system.
Supervise the purchase of supplies and equipment; maintain appropriate inventories.
Prepare and manage the annual budget, maintaining supporting accounting records.
Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, policies, and all relevant legislation.
Maintain clear, concise, and accurate records within the home in accordance with legislation.
Develop good communication channels with the Nurse Manager, residents, relatives, HSE accounting departments, and other stakeholders.
Supervise the physical operation of the nursing home, including maintenance and repairs.
Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment by holding regular team meetings and supporting staff development.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations to enhance resident engagement.
Explain and enforce nursing home policies and regulations to residents, relatives, visitors, and staff.
Prepare clear and concise oral and written reports as required.
Keep abreast of regulatory changes and best practices in the field of long-term care.
Requirements
Minimum of two years’ experience in an administrative or accounting role, ideally within a healthcare or nursing home environment.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proven experience in financial management and budgeting.
Good knowledge of the principles and practices of nursing home administration.
Ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and demonstrate resourcefulness.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with staff, residents, and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and nursing administration systems is desirable.
Relevant qualification in administration, healthcare management, or a related field is an advantage.
