About Us:
Dromod Boxty Ltd is an award-winning food production business with over 35 years of heritage, crafting traditional Irish Boxty and a growing range of products including pancakes and potato bread. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a **Part-Time Bookkeeper** to support our finance operations and manage the day-to-day accounting needs of the business.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a remote, part-time basis (approx. **10 hours per week**, with flexibility on days and times). The successful candidate will handle bookkeeping duties and provide essential financial administration support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
* Process supplier invoices and payments
* Reconcile bank statements and accounts
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts
* Track and manage VAT returns and other revenue reporting
* Liaise with accountants, suppliers, and management as needed
* Provide general administrative finance support for the business
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in bookkeeping or an accounts role (essential)
* Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage - experience an advantage)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Knowledge of VAT and Irish accounting practices desirable
