Mooney’s Hyundai is seeking to recruit a Senior Technician to join our growing team. We will require you to start immediately. You must have a friendly & professional approach to customers at all times. Must be able to multitask, and work in a team environment, as well as on their own initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy, by Hyundai retailer standards.
- Communicating with the parts department to obtain needed parts, informing the workshop manager if the vehicle is awaiting parts and pursuing special orders of parts if necessary.
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair after confirming authorization by the customer.
- Customer Relations: Maintain courteous and professional interactions with customers, management, and staff, upholding our dealership's reputation for exceptional customer service.
- Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with management, the parts department, and technicians to optimise workshop efficiency and productivity.
- Franchise Compliance: Work closely with our franchise partners to ensure adherence to systems, procedures, and standards.
- Workflow Management: Monitor job statuses and effectively communicate with Service Advisors and other team members to ensure a seamless workflow, resulting in outstanding customer satisfaction.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all company tools and workshop equipment are properly maintained to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest technical product information and conduct road tests and quality control checks as necessary.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure that all staff strictly adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience, preferably with a franchise.
- Proficiency in various aspects of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and electronics.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional interpersonal and organisational abilities.
- A genuine passion and knowledge of the automotive industry.
- A desire to self-develop and participate in a manufacturer training programme.
- Work independently in a busy environment managing own time and workflow effectively and efficiently.
- Full driving license.
