Job Title: Accounts Payable and Payroll Clerk (Part-Time, 30 hours/week)
Location: Doherty Hospitality Group (supporting The Eagle, The Queens & McGrory’s Hotel). Based in Dalkey, Co Dublin

Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time
Job Purpose:
To provide accurate and timely accounts payable and payroll processing for Doherty Hospitality Group properties, ensuring financial compliance, efficient supplier management, and accurate payroll services.
Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable:
- Process supplier invoices promptly and accurately.
- Ensure all invoices are correctly coded, authorised, and posted to the accounting system.
- Prepare weekly and monthly EFT payment runs, ensuring timely supplier payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records.
- Support internal and external audits through provision of documentation and reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end close processes, including accruals and account reconciliations.
Payroll:
- Process payrolls (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) using payroll software with a high level of accuracy.
- Ensure full compliance with Revenue’s PAYE Modernisation (real-time reporting).
- Manage new hires, terminations, and changes to employee records including holiday pay, sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, and other statutory entitlements.
- Respond to employee payroll queries professionally and promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of employee payroll data.
Person Specification: Experience & Knowledge:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounts payable and payroll processing roles.
- Solid understanding of Irish payroll legislation and tax obligations.
- Demonstrated experience using accounting and payroll software systems (e.g., Sage, Micropay, BrightPay or similar).
Skills & Competencies:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills and time management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with general IT systems.
Desirable:
- Experience within the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Familiarity with multi-entity environments
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €33,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
