Position Overview
Dinkin’s Monaghan Town is seeking a motivated and reliable Coffee Shop & Home Bakery Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate is responsible for the daily operations in the coffee shop and bakery setting. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, hard-working, and able to manage tasks on their own initiative while maintaining the high standards associated with the Dinkin’s brand. Shifts will be any combination of 8am - 5.30pm, spread out over our operating days Monday - Sunday. You must be able to work mid week, during term time, as well as weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and so this job is not suitable for school or college goers .
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service at all times, creating a welcoming and friendly environment.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including barista-style coffees and teas.
- Handle and serve bakery products, sandwiches, and other food items in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Operate the till and manage cash/ card transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the coffee shop and bakery area, including seating areas, counters, and equipment.
- Restock shelves, displays, and fridges to ensure products are available and attractively presented.
- Follow HACCP and food safety procedures consistently.
- Open and close the shop independently, ensuring security and proper procedures are followed.
- Work efficiently to manage periods of high customer demand while working on your own.
- Support with light preparation of bakery items or packaging of goods as required.
- Taking of cake, bakery & catering orders and dealing with customer inquiries in a timely manner.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From €13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 35 per week
