We are seeking an experienced and Groupage Operations Manager to manage their services in Europe, to and from Netherlands , the Benelux Eastern Germany, France, Italy , Europe and Scandinavia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full and groupage operations, ensuring the timely and safe delivery and collection of goods.
Your key responsibilities:
- Liaising with our , clients, drivers and subcontractors, European Agents, shipping companies with full and part loads
- Managing Quotes, and pricing Jobs
- Plan, organise and oversee the full load and groupage operations to meet requirements
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Monitor and optimise transportation routes to maximise efficiency
- Track and update delivery statuses in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Resolve operational issues or customer complaints
- The opportunity to develop your own department
- As part of this role flexibility is required in order to provide continuous freight support
- Requirements:
- Proven experience in European Containerised and Road freight general haulage sector
- Knowledge of hazardous cargo operations is an advantage
- A strong understanding of transportation and operation procedures in particulkar with the Container Operators, Eucon, BG, CLDN etc.
- Strong leadership and communications skills
- The ability to problem solve and work effectively in a fast-paced environment and working to tight deadlines
- Proficiency in transportation management systems and software, in particukar IMFS would be an advantage , but not necessary
- Import & Export operation knowledge
- Working with our Planning Department to ensure delivery efficiency on Imports
