The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the investigation and documentation of financial control and accounting processes and procedures across all areas of the finance function. This position will be a project type role with a varied and diverse scope with exposure across all finance functions and processes. The candidate will need to adopt a logical approach and apply their knowledge in order to troubleshoot, resolve issues and complete the task to the expected standard.
The role will include the following tasks:
- Responsibility for developing additional controls to meet the business requirements and to enhance the finance control environment with a focus on our Oracle Fusion application.
- Review and resolve any segregation of duty violations on an ongoing basis via control reporting for Finance and HR.
- Investigate and remediate any transactional control violations.
- Work with Oracle Fusion functional team with regard to custom roles, access and controls.
- Maintain and oversee a role-based matrix for other Finance applications such as Oracle Fusion, T24, BI etc.
- Work with the Quality Assurance team on JIRA, a project management tool, to manage the progress of maintenance, defects and change requests within Oracle Fusion.
- Assist with ad hoc Finance projects across the various functions and other enhancements on the Oracle Fusion application.
- Liaise with Group Risk to ensure the proper management, documentation and resolution of risk incidents and action items in the Risk Management Portal.
- Review the aging of risk incidents and action items to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution by engaging the Risk team and relevant stakeholders as required.
- Liaise with internal and external audit in relation to various control audits and queries.
- Facilitate the communication within the department by assisting and organising communication sessions.
- Coordinate, develop and roll out various training initiatives across the Finance teams, liaising with the training department, where necessary.
- Responsible for the tasks assigned to the role ensuring accurate and timely resolution and completion.
- Ad hoc tasks and requests.
Key Competencies
- Minimum 3-4 years of proven demonstrable experience as a Financial Analyst, Business Analyst or Accountant.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related discipline is required.
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion SaaS application, JIRA, Confluence is desirable but not required.
