We currently have a vacancy for a strong, Food and Beverage Supervisor to join the team in The Leinster.
This role will require flexibility to work various day and evening shifts throughout the week.
The ideal candidate will be very experienced in front of house in restaurants and unfazed by very busy services.

Job Purpose
The Food and Beverage Supervisor plays a key leadership role in the smooth daily operation of our premium lifestyle hotel's restaurant. This position is essential to delivering a consistently excellent guest dining experience while supporting and motivating the front-of-house team.
With a focus on guest satisfaction, quality control, and efficient service delivery, the Restaurant Supervisor manages floor operations, coordinates closely with the kitchen and bar, and ensures a welcoming, professional dining environment.
Key Deliverables
Team Leadership & Staff Management
- Supervise the front-of-house team to uphold service standards and hotel policies
- Manage floor operations for lunch, brunch, and/or dinner shifts
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of service staff
- Allocate tasks during service and provide real-time support and feedback
- Lead by example to foster a collaborative, professional team culture
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Welcome and seat guests, ensuring attentive and personalised service throughout their visit
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and empathy
- Monitor dining room atmosphere, including lighting, music, and cleanliness
- Ensure consistent service delivery in line with the hotel's brand standards
- Assist in the delivery of food and beverages when required during peak service
Operations & Shift Management
- Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service and timely pass expedition
- Check food quality, presentation, and completeness before dishes are served
- Manage reservation systems and table plans (e.g., OpenTable) to optimise flow and efficiency
- Operate POS systems (e.g., Micros) and manage end-of-shift cash reconciliations
- Maintain awareness of daily specials, menu changes, and guest preferences
Quality Control & Compliance
- Uphold hygiene, health, and safety standards in line with local regulations
- Conduct regular floor inspections and report maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock control as required
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures and service protocols
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a hospitality setting
- Strong leadership, delegation, and interpersonal skills
- Calm, confident, and solutions-focused under pressure
- Hands-on and proactive approach to team and guest engagement
- Experience with reservation and POS systems (OpenTable, Micros preferred)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
