We don’t just scoop ice cream – we craft it from scratch, along with house-made baked goods like brownies and cookies that make every bowl unforgettable. Now, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team and lead the charge in the kitchen.
The Role
We are hiring a Food Preparation & Recipe Development specialist to oversee the production of our ice creams and baked goods and to develop exciting new flavour combinations and seasonal specials. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who loves being in the kitchen, experimenting with new ideas, and working with high-quality ingredients. Role could suit a student student studying Culinary Arts or full time employee.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce all ice cream bases and flavours to a high and consistent standard
- Bake in-house treats like brownies, cookies, and other toppings
- Develop new and creative flavours for monthly specials and seasonal menus
- Maintain a clean, organised, and food-safe kitchen at all times
- Order ingredients and manage kitchen stock levels
- Collaborate with the wider team on menu planning and product launches
- Keep clear records of recipes, testing, and production
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in food production, pastry, or ice cream making
- A strong interest in recipe development and flavour pairing
- Passion for high-quality, handmade food
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage time and stock efficiently
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- Creative and curious mindset with a love for innovation
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of kitchen operations
Bonus Points
- Experience working with ice cream machines or batch freezers
- Background in pastry, bakery, or dessert preparation
- Knowledge of allergens and alternative ingredients (vegan, gluten-free, etc.)
