We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Chef de Rang to join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional service in our vibrant downstairs restaurant.
Role Overview
As a Chef de Rang, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience. You will be responsible for managing your section of the restaurant, ensuring guests are served efficiently and to the highest standard. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure they feel valued throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and ensure all guest requests are accommodated.
- Serve dishes and beverages with precision and care, explaining menu items as required.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance to enhance their experience.
- Handle any guest concerns or complaints professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
Section Management
- Manage your assigned section, ensuring tables are clean, set, and ready for guests.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service of food and drinks.
- Monitor table turnover and assist in seating guests efficiently.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in your section at all times.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team regarding special requests or dietary requirements.
- Assist colleagues as needed to maintain a positive and productive team environment.
Upselling & Product Knowledge
- Provide guests with detailed information about menu items, including specials and pairings.
- Make personalized recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Promote upselling opportunities, such as wine pairings, desserts, and specialty dishes.

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role in a high-quality restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail pairings.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and reservation management systems.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene is an advantage.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
Working Hours
- Full-Time Role: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
- Typical working days align with restaurant operations from Wednesday to Sunday.
