OVERVIEW
The Large Animal Office Administrator role is to assume a level of responsibility for the efficient running of the large animal office and leadership of the teams associated with the large animal section of the business. This will include providing efficient communication across the large animal and mixed teams within the hospital as well as organization of the large animal office, organization of the work schedule, drug ordering and management, lab management, client rapport and management, marketing and much more.
Training will be provided as necessary to the successful candidate. Salary will be based upon experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting in the management of the LA team and supporting when necessary with general LA duties, ensuring efficient running of the LA office at all times.
Work closely with the vets, nurses and non-surgical team including attending meetings to ensure all areas are working together effectively and efficiently.
Assist with practice marketing initiatives in relation to large animal events and large animal drugs.
Participate in external CPD appropriate to your role plus any training in-house, ensuring post-training feedback forms are completed/cascade of relevant information to appropriate team members.
Stock control LA items & ordering.
Organization and operations of TB testing from start to finish.
Rapport building with farmers and mixed clients & staff.
Arrange dairy health certificates for farmers.
Arrange lab collection and organize samples within the large animal office.
Manage and create invoices for labs.
Further responsibilities may be required.

Desirable
1) Qualified RVN with 1+ years’ experience of full RVN duties within a busy practice
2) Experience/knowledge from a farm background
3) Knowledge in all areas large and mixed animal duties
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €28,000.00-€33,000.00 per year
