We are seeking a qualified baker to join our team in Mallow, County Cork. The ideal candidate will have proven experience and formal training in baking. You will be responsible for preparing, producing, and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and cakes, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, produce, and bake breakfast pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts according to recipes and production schedules.
- Develop new baked products for menus and seasonal promotions.
- Decorate baked goods as needed.
- Accurately measure ingredients, mix and knead doughs, and monitor fermentation and baking processes.
- Ensure all baked items meet quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain clean and organised workstations and ensure all baking equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately.
- Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and order supplies as required.
- Adhere to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years professional baking experience.
- Strong knowledge of bread fermentation and production, pastries, and cake decoration techniques.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability for early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts.
