Position: Senior Bartender
Reports to: Bar Manager / Assistant Manager / Manager on Duty
the Senior Bartender at Crown Quarter is expected to have an in-depth understanding of all bar operations across the venue. This role requires a wide knowledge of the department, excellent organisational skills, and strong problem-solving abilities. You will ensure the provision of friendly, professional, and efficient beverage service to all guests in a clean and hygienic environment, in full compliance with company standards and legal requirements. You will oversee bar stocks, cash handling, and contribute to delivering a premium guest experience.
Key Duties
- Support and drive the vision, mission, and purpose of Crown Quarter.
- Live and embody Crown Quarter values.
- Achieve and maintain Crown Quarter service and operational standards.
- Verify customer identification and age requirements.
- Mix both traditional and innovative cocktails to a high standard.
- Process payments efficiently and accurately.
- Clean and maintain bar equipment, glasses, and utensils.
- Make personalised recommendations based on guest tastes and preferences.
- Record, balance, and reconcile cash receipts; prepare cash deposits.
- Open and maintain customer tabs throughout the shift.
- Build rapport with regular guests to foster a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere.
- Ensure all bar equipment is regularly serviced, and report any issues for prompt resolution.
Responsibilities
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for both bar and restaurant patrons.
- Engage with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks.
- Assess customer needs and preferences, offering informed recommendations.
- Mix and garnish drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in planning and presenting an appealing bar menu.
- Check identification to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies throughout the shift.
- Remain guest-focused, delivering an exceptional guest experience at all times.
- Comply fully with all food, beverage, and licensing regulations.
- Understand and carry out responsibilities as outlined in the Health & Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
