I am recruiting on behalf of my client in West Cork for a Production Assistant Manager to support team development and drive process improvement within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support production teams across shifts to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist the Production Manager in achieving key performance targets
- Identify and implement practical process improvements
- Develop team capability through coaching and on-the-job training
- Promote a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Handle day-to-day staff queries and escalate issues where needed
- Contribute to planning, audits, and cross-functional meetings
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within food manufacturing
- Strong leadership and team engagement skills
- Good understanding of factory operations and production processes
- Proven track record of driving improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication skills and a hands-on approach
